Austin Pool Table Movers

Here at Austin Pool Table Movers, we understand that the most important part of buying a new or used pool table is how well that it is put together. We have set up thousands of pool tables throughout the years and have seen everything. Some of the tools that we use to ensure the highest level of quality include a machinist level for accurate leveling, a beeswax mixed with resin compound for filling in holes and seams, and composite wood shims that are moisture resistant and don't compress as easily as traditional cedar shims. We proudly serve all of Austin, Texas and surrounding areas.

At Austin Pool Table Movers, we specialize in pool table move, pool table setup or installation, and pool table recover. Feel free to give us a call with any questions that you may have.

A slate table comes apart into a frame, a bed in sections and a set of rails, and west of the city those pieces rarely go straight in from the street. Houses out on the limestone are built down the slope rather than across it: you arrive at the middle level, the living space is there, and the room with space for a table is a flight below, with the garage under that.

So the route goes through the house rather than into it, and the internal stair is the whole job. Width at the turn, the newel at the bottom, and whether a landing exists at all are the three measurements worth sending. A three piece bed manages most of them. A single slab manages very few, which is why one piece slate moves are not offered.

Heat is the second factor and it is a scheduling one. A garage or an unconditioned lower room in high summer is hard on a crew and harder on adhesive, so those jobs are better in the morning slot than the afternoon.

Moving if the table is changing address, installation if it is staying put, recovering if the cloth has had enough.

Work either side of the obvious three

  • Shifting a table between levels of the same house.
  • Crating a table to sections for a long-distance carrier.
  • Lifting a table out while a floor goes down, then returning to rebuild it.
  • Collecting from a shop, a storage unit or a private seller and setting it up.
  • Bringing a drifted table back to level without touching sound cloth.
  • Fresh cushion rubber during a recover, while the rails are already off.

How an Austin quote is put together

Three inputs set the price. The table: size, and one slab of slate or three. The route: which level you enter on, the flights between there and the room, the turns, and the walk from the door to the truck. The room: where it lands and what the floor does underneath it.

This city adds houses faster than almost anywhere, so a good share of this work is a table going into a place nobody has lived in yet. Those are the easy ones, because the route is empty and the floor is known.

If the stair between levels rules out the room you had in mind, that belongs in the quote conversation rather than the moment a bed section stops at the turn.
